The above are the times that the surgery doors are open - appointment start and finish times may vary.

Telephone lines for the surgery are open from 08:30 to 18:00 every day.

Enhanced Access for evening pre booked appointments are available on Wednesday and Thursday with the last appointment available at 19:45.

For our evening pre booked appointments on these days the main surgery doors are shut from 18:00 as usual and when you arrive for your appointment please go to the left rear side of the building to use the side door.  There is a buzzer to speak to the Healthcare Administration Team and gain access.

Please either telephone us on 01271 323443 or call-in to our help desk if you wish to check individual GP’s and/or allied health professionals’ consulting days and times for when you would like to see him/her, as they may fluctuate.

When We Are Closed

For urgent medical attention (when the surgery is closed) telephone NHS 111. Calls will be taken by a trained telephonist who will take your details and an outline of your problem.

A healthcare professional will call you back with telephone advice or he/she may arrange for you to be seen at the treatment centre at Barnstaple Hospital or at your home if appropriate.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
