GP Partnership vacancy
We are looking to replace a retiring partner, ideally 6 sessions a week
Commencement Sept 2026
We are a stable, friendly, list-based practice with an emphasis on continuity of care and providing holistic family medicine. We are based in the town of Barnstaple and also cover the rural outskirts. We have 12 GP partners, 1 Salaried GP, and an experienced nursing team for treatment room, long term conditions and urgent care. The practice is supported by a strong administrative team. We are seeking a highly motivated person who will complement our cohesive team. We are offering ideally 6 sessions but there is some flexibility for the right candidate.
North Devon is a great place to live and work, with good beaches for surfing and national parks on the doorstep for an outdoors lifestyle.
- Close working relationships within our Barnstaple Alliance PCN and other PCNs across N Devon
- BA PCN staff providing services across all 4 practices - wellbeing team, mental health practitioners, pharmacy team, first contact physiotherapists and care home/housebound team and an acute visiting service
- Purpose-built, partner owned premises

PCN Clinical Pharmacist Vacancy
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Clinical Pharmacy Team in the Barnstaple Alliance Primary Care Network.
The role will include a focus on managing patients with long term conditions.
The postholder will work in GP practices within the Barnstaple Alliance Primary Care Network, working closely with GPs, other practice staff and members of the primary healthcare team in managing patient care and supporting high quality, safe, cost effective, rational and evidence based prescribing.
Hours can be flexible between 25hours - 37.5 hours a week to suit the right candidate.

PCN Care Coordinator – Older Person’s Integrated Care Team Vacancy
We are looking for a Care Coordinator to act as the single point of administrative and coordination support for the Older Persons Integrated Care (OPIC) Team within the Barnstaple Alliance Primary Care Network covering Brannam, Litchdon, Fremington and Queens Medical Centres.
The OPIC Team consists of Nurse Practitioners and a GP Clinical Lead.The PCN care co-ordinator role will be pivotal in ensuring all patients receive the best possible care and service through coordinating and supporting the delivery of all key activities of the OPIC Team. This includes access to services, advice and information, ensuring a patient centred approach with timely and effective care planning and organisation.
The role will involve co-ordination of OPIC home visits for older people living in their own homes and those living in care homes. This will involve identifying patients for visits, making bookings, preparing visit paperwork and entering data on to the patient record, following visits from the OPIC clinicians. There will also be a role in vaccine planning and coordination for the PCN. The role will also include supporting digital initiatives.
Hours available are 26hrs to 30hrs a week, worked over 4 or 5 days.
